The family had residence at Bishop's Court in Vyskov and at Skalice .. after death of Jan Wenceslaus the family returned to the ancient land in Bohemia in about 1775 from Moravia. Daughter Barbara married Baron Franz von Raule and moved to Vienna.

Jan had two sons and the title of  Zeman .. the lowest from of German Nobility i.e. esquire. There are other Jankovsky's .. it is a Danish, Finnish, German and Russian name. There are other Jankovsky's in the Czech Republic but they are not direct relatives. The 1st one's name evolved to Jankovsky by 1730 from the name Janku. The 2nd one is from Trebon and once was Rziha Jankowsky. The 3rd from Budweis, named Stefle, was changed to "Jankovsky" through marriage in 1718 to the granddaughter of Vilem II of Slavetice

Charles John  1885 - 1968

There are other Jankovsky's in ILL, but they are not relatives. Charles brothers were Anton, John, Joseph. There are no living Jankovsky's from that group .. the three sisters got what ever money was left. Grandfather once told me. " the Jankovsky's are a very old Bohemian family, none of them had to work, but now we have to !

Joseph Rudolph  1911 - 1999

brothers Charles, Otto, George and sister Antonette. After Grandfather's died, Uncle Charlie past on the information to me. My Dad confirmed most of the history, names and dates .. he even saw a drawing of the Family Crest when he was a boy. John only listed info back to late 1600's .. "an attorney sent the info to Europe but with no results .. records on the family are in the archives in Prague"

My Dad always said " don't tell people about the Castles, etc .. they will think you just made it up " .. well I did find the records and the history was all true !
