Benes abt 1310 - abt 1376

Benes "Jankovskych" ruled from the family fortress at Jankov and then from the Castle of Vlasim. The family name with titles became "Jankovsti z Vlasime" Benes son Cece acquired a new title "z Nemycevsi" and
a Fortress in northern Bohemia in 1376.

Hynek abt 1330 - 1365

|
|
|
Hynek was "Lord Jankova na Cevekvici" and also the owner of a Fortress
Horni Cerekev in southern Bohemia in 1360, wife was Libuse and they had three other sons - Petr, Linhart, Hynek and a daughter Katerina.

Matej abt 1350 - aft 1397

Other relatives of the family had great power in the affairs of Bohemia at this
time.. they had residences in Prague, Kasperk and Helfenburk ..Jan Ocko z Vlasime became Cardinal, Pavel z Vlasime was given the castle and new title "z Jenstejna" in 1368, his son Jan z Jenstejna became Arch Bishop. At Jankov the family began selling property begining in 1363 and by 1435 the remaining family moved to Moravia.

In northern Moravia Jan was given Castle Usov in 1416 .. wife was Marketa and they
had three other sons - Arnost, Karel, Vaclav and a daughter Johanka. The family was given the Royal Town of Litovel in 1440 and title of Baron "z Vlasime na Usovsky"

Jan II abt 1395 - 1447

|
|
|
brother Karel assumed title of the Castle in 1447 when Jan II died. Karel Jr re-built
the Castle in 1487. Karel II and his brother Jiri only had daughters and the family titles moved to grandson Jindrich.

Mikulas abt 1420 - 1476

|
|
|
At this time the family was given the rights to rule in southern Moravia .. they
owned a Fortress at Slatina .. brothers were Jan and Benes. Mikulas married Katerina Otradic and had two other sons - Mikulas II and Vaclav .. both died by 1495.

Jindrich abt 1450 - 1520
|
|
|
|
owner of Fortress at Slatina, acquired Rysice in 1496, Baron of Vlasime in 1511,
married Mandalena z Riean, had 3 other sons. The 4 sons were given right to rule by King Ludvik in 1522. The ancient family lines of z Jenstejna, z Nemycevsi and na Usovsky had all ended
by 1522.

owner of Slatina, wife Dorota von Hundsdorfu na Mstinic, had 8 sons and daughters ..
most died in the 1540's. The Jankovsky's actively supported the Catholic Royalty in the Civil Wars of 1400's, 1500's and the Thirty Year War of the early 1600's which destroyed the village of Jankov.

owner of Slatina and Skalice, had two sons and two daughters, his brother was
Fredrich who owned the Castle at Plavec. These families became the only two family lines still existing after the year 1615.

owner of Chateau at Resice, made Baron along with his brother Adam of Skalice,
married Katerina Bulova z Boritova, had two sons and daughter Justine who married her 2nd cousin Fridrich of Bitov. Fridrich along with his brother Wolf Zikmund of Slatina also became Barons.

Jindrich abt 1590 - 1645

|
Baron of Vlasim, owner of Chateau at Resice, wife Ludmila Bechynové z Lazan had two
daughters and son Karl. Jindrich along with his bother Vilem of Slavetice as senior members of the family attempted to claim the Bitov Estates. After Jindrich's death Ludmila's son Karel spend a
number of years at the Royal Court of Carl X of Sweden.

Karl Vaclav 1644 - 1684

Baron of Vlasim, owner of Chateau at Resice, married Marií Františkou Schaumburku,
had two sons Fredinand Leopold and Karel Max. During this time the family at Bitov became was very prosperous. Fridrich's son Hynek became Imperial Counselor at Wien. The family was given lands and the
Royal Town of Jemnice in Moravia. Hynek's son became Count Maxmilian Arnost Jankovsky von Vlasching.

Karel Maxmilian 1667 - 1727

|
|
Baron of Vlasim, sold Chateau Resice in 1682, lived at Bitov and Jemnice, wife Anna
Regina, sons Frantisek Antonin and Jan Antonin. After the death of Karel and brother Fredinand Leopold in 1729 another family feud occurred. The family lost the Royal Palace at Jemnice to Austrian
relatives the family von Lamberg.

Jan Antonin 1692 - 1740

Baron of Vlasim, had a Chateau at Zdislavice, wife Barbara Josepha Minovsti z
Lazniku, had one son and 5 daughters. Per the achieves .. brother Frank who was then Minister of Forests in eastern Moravia "initiated a King's Tribunal " and was able to re-claim the family's estates from Austrian relatives at Bitov in 1752 but died three months after the tribunal and the Chateau at Slatina was transferred to the family von Daun.

Jan Wenceslaus 1729 - 1775

The history books references "a series of prolonged family feuds" that lasted for well over 100 years. In 1755 Marie Theresa Empress of Austria formally transferred Castle Bitov and the royal lands to powerful Austrian relatives the family von Daun and the title Baron of Vlasim was eliminated. John is recorded as a military leader at the time of the Seven Year War with Prussia. Cousin Leopold von Daun was the Empress' Field Marshall. John 's two sons were Jan and Karel.

Jan Matious abt 1760 - aft 1800

The family had residence at Bishop's Court in Vyskov and at Skalice .. after the
death of Jan Wenceslaus the family returned to the ancient land in Bohemia in about 1775 from Moravia. Records of 1789 indicate they were land owners and prominent in the area. I believe, they remained
relatively wealthy the next 100 years in part from the sale of the few remaining parcels of land. The family of brother Karel Jankovsky von Mayenhorst married into prominent Austrian families.

Jan's wife was Anna and they had two sons and the title of Zeman .. the lowest from of German Nobility i.e. esquire. Sister Barbara married Baron Franz von Raule and moved to Vienna. There are other Jankovsky's .. it is a Danish, Finnish, German and Russian name. There are other Jankovsky's in the Czech Republic but they are not direct relatives. However Mathias Stefle changed name to "Jankovsky" through marriage in 1718 to the granddaughter of Vilem II of Slavetice and later the family Janku adopted name "Jankovsky" after marriages into the family.

Jan Antonin 1820 - 1916

The family had a home in Bohemia, owned land and a Business. Jan Anton wife was Anna
and they had two sons Anton and John who came to the U.S. but Jan stayed with his brother. The family line of brother and his son Joseph ended by the year 1900. At time of WW I Jan Anton's son John
traced the family back to the late 1600's in attempt to re-claim some land in Europe.

Wife was Marie 1856 - 1910 .. brother Anton came to the US after the end of
Civil War and started Wood Working Business He was buried in the family plot in 1899. John came to US in about 1887, then went back for the family, sold his share of land, never worked. The sons
took over the business in the late 1890's .. the family lost the Business in the 1920's.

There are other Jankovsky's in ILL, but they are not relatives. Charles brothers were
Anton, John, Joseph. There are no living Jankovsky's from that group .. the three sisters got what ever money was left. Grandfather once told me. " the Jankovsky's are a very old Bohemian family, none of them had to work, but now we have to !

brothers Charles, Otto, George and sister Antonette. After Grandfather's died, Uncle
Charlie past on the information to me. My Dad confirmed most of the history, names and dates .. he even saw a drawing of the Family Crest when he was a boy. John only listed info back to late 1600's .. "an
attorney sent the info to Europe but with no results .. records on the family are in the archives in Prague"
