At the time of WWI the family traced the history back to the late 1600's .. in about the year 1970 the history was passed on to me by my uncle Charles and my father Joseph ..  for the past 15 plus years I have been researching and documenting the family's history .. with help from many in the U.S. and in Europe, I have approx. 300 names, translations of several key historical documents and scores of photos.

The book on the right covers the family's history in Moravia and the family's later move to the U.S..

page one of a five page document on the Barons from Vlasim - from the achieves of Vienna   .. written in about 1890. The first page of the document talks about Cardinal Jan Ocko and the family Jankovsky moving to Aussee i.e. Castle Usov

below, is from an ancient book on the History of the Rulers of Moravia, scribed by historian Paprocki and completed in the year 1593. The book, which is in a museum in Brno, was discovered by genealogist friend Tomas Tyl .. copies of the pages were then translated from old medieval language. The book has 10 pages of history on the family and includes drawings of the family's Coats of Arms.

The family was related to the ancient Kings of Bohemia but decedents from marriages may have included members within most of the Royal Families of Europe

Katerina married Jaroslav ze Sternberka .. decedents  included some members of Royal Families of Austria, Germany, Russia and Rumania of the 1800's.

The family line from the marriage of Johanka includes the Prince of Wales.
